Pill your Beats.
Spec Ad for Beats
Concept Overview
Pill Your Beats reimagines the Beats Pill through a bold and unexpected visual metaphor: What if music could be taken like a dose of pure energy?
Instead of showing the product in use, we place it at the center of a surreal, pop-inspired moment, a speaker treated like a capsule, resting on the tongue. It’s an idea that transforms audio into an experience you can feel instantly and viscerally.
This creative direction brings Beats into a new visual territory:
Sensory, provocative, youth-driven, and unmistakably iconic.
Creative Inspiration
The visual draws from:
Tom Wesselmann’s bold, sensuous pop art, Magritte’s surreal, reality-bending compositions, and Contemporary youth culture’s irreverent, hyper-color energy.
The result is a powerful image that feels both modern and timeless—
a fusion of art, attitude, and brand storytelling.

This concept began with the iconic pill-shaped form of the speaker. I reimagined the act of “taking a pill” as a metaphor for consuming sound—translating it into a bold visual that expresses the brand’s powerful, youthful energy. The design captures the provocative spirit of Beats, where product identity and cultural attitude collide.
About
Pill Your Beats is a conceptual spec campaign that reimagines the Beats Pill speaker through a pop-surreal lens. Created as a personal exploration in visual storytelling, the project blends elements of surrealism, pop art, and contemporary youth culture to construct a bold, iconic brand moment that could exist within the Beats universe—but is entirely self-initiated.
By placing the speaker on the tongue like a capsule, the visual transforms sound into a physical, sensorial experience—one that feels immediate, energetic, and culturally charged. This reinterpretation pushes beyond functional product imagery and instead expresses the feeling of the Beats identity: rebellious, youthful, and unapologetically expressive.
Drawing inspiration from Magritte’s surreal compositions and Tom Wesselmann’s vivid pop-art aesthetics, the artwork creates tension between the ordinary and the absurd. The hyper-saturated colors, sensual shapes, and symbolic object placement collectively form a visual language that is eye-catching but also conceptually layered.
Ultimately, Pill Your Beats serves as both a brand interpretation and an artistic experiment—an exploration of how a familiar product can be elevated into an emotional, culturally resonant icon through metaphor, form disruption, and contemporary visual culture.
This project reflects my approach to speculative brand design:
bold ideas, strong narrative direction, and visuals that refuse to be ignored.
